Kavin Raj is a well-known television presenter and actor who works predominantly in South Indian films. He was born on June 22, 1990, in Tiruchirapalli (Trichy), Tamilnadu and shares the zodiac sign of Cancer. He emerged as a film actor with his debut role in the telefilm Pizza (2012), a Tamil-language horror where he plays a role of a delivery boy who doesn’t believe in the supernatural who is forced to confront his convictions after being trapped in a house on his route. Kavin started his acting career in 2011 with Star Vijay’s TV serial Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, where he appeared as a student. Insite of all the characters, he is still known for essaying the lead role in the popular serial Saravanan Meenatchi and is widely recognized after entering the Big Boss Tamil Season 3 as a contestant.

Born and bought up in a middle-class family in Tiruchirapalli, he also did his schooling from there and later joined Loyola College, Chennai to pursue a bachelor degree in Chemistry. It was during graduation he got selected for Star Vijay, which paved way for him to emerge as an actor in various movies and Tv serials, which were a tremendous hit. He didn’t complete his degree, as he was busy with the new upcoming projects in serials and film opportunities are thrown at him. Born to Mr Pradeep Raj and Mrs Mary, he was a very family man and an Indian holding a huge belief in Hinduism. Afterwards, he also played a lead role in Kana Kaanum Kaalangal which made him pretty famous over South India, leading to getting a plain new role of Vettaiyan in Saravanan Meenatchi season 2. In addition, he won positive critical acclaim in his performance as Vettaiyan and later won the award for Favourite Actor Male in 2015 in Vijay Television Awards. In no time, he turned a familiar household face for all the South Indian Tv serial fans and played the role of Vettaiyan consequently from 2013 to 2016.
Later on, Kavin signed on to play a full length supporting role of Dr Chandran in Sathriyan (2017), a Tamil movie and also played the lead role for Natpuna Ennanu Theriyumma released in 2019 opposite to actress Remya Nambeesan. Prior to these films, he appeared in a major role in Pizza (2012) and a cameo role in Indru Netru Naalai (2015), a fiction comedy. As these performances earned him wide popularity, he also got to release a film, Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma under his banner and also Co-hosted the Vijay Television Awards. Along with this, Kavin Raj also hosted the show Kings of Dance Season 2 in Star Vijay in 2018 and in 2019 appeared on Star Vijay’s Big Boss Tamil 3 reality television show hosted by the Indian Actor Kamal Hassan. In 2021, which gave him a huge Big Boss Tamil fan base over social media and the internet. He ventured into freshwaters with a lead role in Movie Lift, directed by Vineeth Varaprasad, and was also awarded Behindwoods Gold Medal Awards for Most Popular Person on Television in 2019. Kavin, sharing a wonderful connection with many members of the film fraternity, including the television industry, is bound to keep going into more success soon with his works.
