Ramesh Choudary (born 23 October 1982), known professionally as Jithan Ramesh, is an Indian actor and producer predominantly from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Born into the limelight, a celebrity family from Chennai started their debut career in 2004 starring in the Telugu film Vidyardhi (Remake of Hindi film Gayab). He’s the third son of R. B. Choudary, a well-known film producer in the Tamil Film industry and the elder brother of Actor Jiva. Although his acting career started in 2004, his breakthrough was made with a lead role played named Surya in his first Tamil film Jithan released in 2005, which was a thriller.

Born into a family of Hindu Marwari heritage, he follows Hinduism with all his heart and respects all religions. After attending his early schooling at Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Royapettah, Chennai; he later enrolled himself at DG Vaishnav College, Chennai for his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Born with a silver spoon, Ramesh developed a tremendous interest in the entertainment industry at a very young age for acting and film direction. Born to Mahjabeen (homemaker) and one of the finest Indian film producers R. B. Choudary, experienced in working with several regional film industries, Ramesh too got the calling for the entertainment industry which he attained. He has three siblings. Suresh Choudary, his elder sibling is a Co-Producer of Super Good Films. Jeevan Choudary runs a business of Steel Company and Amar Choudary commonly called by the name Jiiva is a prominent actor in the Tamil and Telugu Film Industry. Married to Shilpa in February 2006, the couple leads a happy life blessed with a son Prishaan and daughter Toshna.

Jithan Ramesh Movies and Film Career
Ramesh’s first film Vidyardhi (2004) was a thriller movie produced by his father, R. B. Choudary’s studio Super Good Films. His second film Jithan performed well commercially at the box office, prompting him to sign multiple films including romantic dramas including Madhu (2006), Nee Venunda Chellam (2006) and a comedy-drama Jerry (2006). He continued his acting career with action dramatic roles in Madhurai Veeran (2007) and Puli Varudhu (2007) which earned negative reviews upon release, prompting him to take a four-year break in the industry. Subsequently, after an abrupt break he appeared in Tamil films he made his next release in the Tamil movies Osthe (2011) and Pillaiyar Theru Kadaisi Veedu (2011). During the period, he notably launched a spiritual sequel to Jithan (2013) also made his Malayalam debut in the movie ‘Day Night Game’ (2014) by playing the lead role of Police Inspector. As these works didn’t make a big saga in theatres, he chose to priorities his work as a producer under the banner of his family studio, Super Good Films, and made his debut as a Film Producer in the Tamil movie “Jilla”. In 2016, Jithan eventually released the movie Jithan2 playing a reprising role of a timid individual who experiences paranormal activity, also took part in a sports reality show, Lebara Natchathira Cricket League (2016) playing for the team Salem Cheetahs. Following a further break from acting, Ramesh returned to Telugu films after with Okate Life and continued to be a work on the adult Ongala Podanum Sir in 2019, which was the main comeback to Tamil-language films. In 2020, he was involved as a contestant in Star Vijay’s reality television show, Big Boss Tamil 4, hosted by Kamal Haasan. Jithan Ramesh is currently working on a Tamil film titled Miratchi, where he portrays the antagonist by role.
